یک مخزن ویک کرنومتر قیاسی است برای عملکرد اندازه گیری جابه جایی مثبت.زمانیکه جریان شروع میشود کرنومترهم شروع به کارمیکند.وقتی مخزن به سطح مورد نظر رسید کرنومتر متوقف میشود. حجم تقسیم شده بر زمان دبی را به ما میدهد.برای اندازه گیری های مداوم به سیستمی نیاز داریم که سطل را مرتبا پر و خالی کند ، بدون خارج شدن سیال از لوله ها.این روش مداوم در فرم پیستون های متقابل و همچنین چرخ دنده های درگیر قابل پیاده سازی است.
